At what level do my characters learn a new psynergy?
New psynergies can be learnt through equipping of some certain items, too! As those are entirely unique, only one character is able to possess its very psynergy at a time, but at least everyone's able to do so. Some of them you'll find hidden, whilst others you'll find as your journey progresses. Watch out, as some are even required for the game's plot!

The Golden Sun series belongs to the rather rare kind of RPGs in which you can really influence your environment through magic. That means moving things, changing them, even reading minds is possible! I think that's truly an upside of the game, a really cool one. In the following a list of psynergies that you can use on the World Map for this purpose (except for healing spells):

| Once used it will keep the nasty monster away from you for quite some time! Unnecessary fights won't annoy you then. But the psynergy only affects monsters that are already easy to defeat for you... stronger monsters will still continue to attack you. | |

| Near the game's end it'll become important to light up certain fires. For this the 'Blaze' psynergy is used. But keep in mind that you'll always need another fire source (e.g. a torch), as this psynergy requires a 'fuel'. | |

| Every now and then during your journey you'll find objects that are already looking rather fragile. Most likely they can be blown to pieces then with this psynergy! Only this way certain passages can be reached at all. Kids, don't try this at home! | |

| You're not going to need 'Force' in order to play through the game. Furthermore you won't even get the required item, the 'Orb of Force' at all without the gold password from Golden Sun! But if you do you can use it on tree trunks to either scare up their inhabitants or to break them. | |

| A very useful water psynergy. It has the power to create massive ice pillars out of tiny water puddles! You're going to need this often to jump to otherwise unreachable areas. | 'Hover' is an astonishing power, it lets you float in the air – but the effect will not be there until you're standing on one of the purple-coloured energy fields. For a certain time you'll now be able to walk in the air! Well, I think that's... pretty cool! | |

If you cannot do this with your hands, just use this psynergy – your mental power will hold the object in front of you, then you can move it in any direction. | Once you've learned this psynergy you can use it for multiple purposes. The main purpose, though, is too see enveloped things which otherwise wouldn't be visible for you eyes. | Dig through the ground in front of you! If you think that something interesting's in the soil in front of you, you might want to quickly prove it with 'Scoop'... It's mainly useful in sandy areas, such as deserts. | |

| Lord, thanks for this psynergy! Although the main purpose of it is to move back and forth on certain teleporting circles, but there's another, even more useful thing about it: with the glimpse of an eye you're now able to travel to every place visited so far on the World Map! 'Teleport' will surely save you many hours of running around... However, it's also the last acquireable psynergy (through item) you'll get. | |

| Rampant bushes sometimes cover entrances and walls, and you'll get rid of them quickly with this psynergy. They'll simply be blown away! You can also have a replica of the the psynergy with 'Gale', which has the very same effects, but a different name. |
