Released in the year of 2001 Golden Sun represented one of the very first RPGs for Nintendo's then still-young Game Boy Advance. It was developed by Japanese video game company Camelot Software Planning and a straightaway success. The game could shine with its extremely beautiful graphics for a GBA game, including even simulated 3D effects, the music, and above all, the unique world of Weyard. Soon there were sites aplenty about the game born on the Internet, and along with them an amazingly big community, mainly in the anglophone world. But it wasn't long until everyone yearned for a sequel, as Golden Sun had one thing that made it special: the game's story did not feature a finished plot, but was part of a vastly bigger one, which was continued smoothly in the sequel! To this day Golden Sun remains one of the most successful and popular games for the Game Boy Advance.
